PSYKWRD is more than a name—it’s a reflection of how I see the world.
My name is Mekhi, a photographer, videographer, editor, and creative based in the Dallas–Fort Worth area. I created PSYKWRD as an outlet for the thoughts, experiences, and creativity that often don’t fit inside a box. The name represents the constant ideas, overthinking, and imagination that fuel everything I create.
Growing up between California roots and a Texas upbringing, I’ve always been drawn to storytelling. Whether I’m capturing a live performance, documenting an event, creating content for a brand, or shooting portraits, my goal is the same: create visuals that make people feel something.
My background as an electrician has taught me discipline, attention to detail, and the value of hard work. I bring those same qualities into every creative project. I understand what it’s like to build something from the ground up, and I approach every shoot with that mindset.
Through photography and videography, I help artists, businesses, creators, and everyday people turn moments into lasting visuals. I specialize in capturing authentic energy, emotion, and atmosphere—whether that’s on stage, on the job site, in the city, or behind the scenes.
